Public Notice
The Brunswick County Public Utilities Department is holding an information session at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, in the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners Chambers located in the David R. Sandifer Administration Building, Brunswick County Government Complex, 30 Government Center Drive NE, Bolivia, NC, to solicit input from the development community (Engineers, Designers, Developers, and Concerned Citizens) regarding proposed policies affecting the design of wastewater pumping stations. This information session will provide information on a new SewerCad model of the County sewer force main system, Wastewater Pumping Station Design Guidelines, and the Regional Wastewater Pump Station Development Policy and request input from the public on these items. Those persons who will not be able to attend the information session, but would like to provide feedback on these items may email John Nichols at jnichols@brunsco.net by January 7, 2009. Requests for draft copies of the Wastewater Pumping Station Design Guidelines, Regional Wastewater Pump Station Development Policy, Design Spreadsheet, and other ancillary data may be requested by calling Brunswick County Public Utilities at 910-253-2657.

Crushed Concrete for Sale
Beginning Monday, December 10, 2007, the Brunswick County Landfill will begin selling crushed concrete. It will be sold for $10.00 per ton and is similar to BBC (crushed brick, block and concrete). The concrete will be sold until the supply is depleted. The Brunswick County Landfill is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please direct any questions to the Solid Waste Department at (910) 253-2520.
